Momentum Multiply Terms & Conditions

        General programme rules

  1. How these rules impact Multiply Member(s) (defined hereafter)

 

    1. When Multiply Member(s) participate in any Multiply programme, it means they have read, understood and agreed to these rules. The member also agrees to all the different sets of terms and conditions related to digital channel usage, privacy policy, status and tiers, partner terms and conditions (channel and product).
    2. These rules will apply to and bind all Multiply Member(s).
    3. The benefits and rewards of the Multiply programme (defined hereafter) can only be used for leisure and not business purposes.
    4. Momentum Multiply Private Limited (We or Us or Momentum Multiply) may amend the rules from time to time.

 

  1. Definitions

 

    1. Multiply is a wellness and rewards programme offered by Momentum Multiply that empowers and motivates South African families to save more, live healthier and be safer on their journey to success and happiness. This is done by offering engaging wellness and safety solutions, securing access to various wellness, safety and leisure facilities and services, and by offering benefits at various providers to incentivise and reward their wellness behaviour. This programme is managed and operated by Momentum Multiply (Pty) Ltd.
    2. Multiply Member(s) shall refer to individuals of all role types who have been enrolled on Multiply. All Multiply Members can only belong to a single paid Multiply Plan.
    3. Student means a child (by law, adoption or fostering), who is financially dependent on the Main Member, does not have his/her independent source of income and is between the ages of 18 to 25 years. A Student must have a valid RSA ID number or a passport number.
    4. Adult Dependant refers to natural persons that are at least 18 years old and are listed as a dependent on the Main Member’s Momentum Medical Scheme plan or other qualifying medical schemes. Adult dependants exclude spouses and/or partners of the Main Member. Members on the Main Member’s Momentum Medical Scheme or other qualifying medical scheme plan can be added to their Multiply membership as an Adult Dependant upon request of the members. A confirmation of membership of the relevant medical scheme may be requested upon initial application to the programme to ensure the addition of members to the Multiply Plan. Confirmation of membership from the medical scheme may also be requested by Momentum Multiply on an annual basis.
    5. Benefit shall mean such benefits as the Multiply Member may be eligible for, based on the Multiply Plan specified on the confirmation of membership and shall include various discounts, cashbacks and points which the Multiply Member becomes eligible for or is entitled to due to his/her membership under the Multiply Plan.
    6. Child shall refer to a dependant who is under the age of 18 years and is a Main Member's/Partner’s natural child or legally adopted child. A Child must have a valid RSA ID number or a passport number. A child can only belong to one membership.
    7. Main Member refers to the member who has been enrolled as the Main Member on Multiply and specified on the membership as the Main Member. A Main Member must be at least 18 years old and have a valid RSA ID number or a passport number. The Main Member must be able to provide contactable details (i.e. email. cellphone number, home phone number) at the point of signing up for the programme.
    8. Personal information collected by Multiply can include, but is not limited to, a data subject’s name, contact details, birth date, identity number, gender, employment details, marital, family, policy, bank account, wearable device information, medical and/or health information.
    9. Momentum Products shall refer to any product that a client may have that is part of the Momentum brand, including life insurance, short term insurance, health insurance, investments and corporate benefits.
    10. Qualifying Products shall refer to any Momentum product and/or products offered by any company outside of the Momentum Metropolitan Group whose product is recognised by Momentum Multiply as a qualifying product from time to time.
    11. Multiply Partner shall refer to companies which under agreement/arrangements with Momentum Multiply have agreed to offer to Multiply Members discounts/incentives on its products and/or services under Multiply.
    12. Plan shall refer to Plan issued to the Multiply Member(s) as specified on confirmation of membership. A plan can refer to Premier, Provider or Starter.
    13. Multiply Status refers to the status linked to the Multiply membership based on either points-earning activities in the current year, or a carried over status from the previous year.
    14. Rewards shall mean the rewards to which a Multiply Member becomes eligible for on account of him/her being a Multiply Member and their Multiply Status from time to time.
    15. Partner refers to a legally married spouse or life partner of the Main Member and who is enrolled on Multiply. A Partner must be at least 18 years old and have a valid RSA ID number or a passport number. The Partner must be able to provide contactable details (i.e. email, cellphone number, home phone number) at the point of signing up for the programme. The role of a Partner may not be changed to an Adult Dependant to benefit from the point structure. Only one partner is allowed per membership.

 

In these rules, the singular always refers to plural, as well the other way around. In these rules references to the masculine gender shall include the feminine.

  1. Multiply Membership

Who can take membership of Multiply?

    1. A person who has a Momentum product or who is a member of another qualifying medical scheme.
    2. A person who, at the time of enrollment, holds any of the Qualifying Products or satisfy such other criteria as may be laid down by Momentum Multiply in its sole discretion.
    3. Multiply reserves the right to, from time to time, via a campaign, allow clients to join Multiply without owning any Qualifying Product.
    4. If a member joins without a Qualifying Product as part of a campaign, the member has to adhere to the rules of the campaign. These rules may include the period within which a member has to sign up for a Momentum Product to avoid termination of membership.
    5. A member can be part of the Starter plan, as well as the Provider or Premier plan. A member cannot be on Provider and Premier at the same time. The benefits of the Provider/Premier plan always supersede that of the Starter plan that the member is on. The member can only be on one active Premier or Provider plan.
    6. If a member is the main member of the Momentum Medical Scheme plan, the member needs to inform Momentum Multiply if the roles and dependants on the Momentum Medical Scheme plan should be synched to that of the Multiply plan to accommodate any future changes to dependents. This does not however restrict the right of Momentum Multiply Pty (Ltd) to request confirmation of member dependence, member confirmation may be done at least once a year or upon any changes to the Momentum Medical Scheme plan noted.

 

  1. When does the Multiply Plan start?

 

    1. After all required information and documentation was supplied the membership can either start immediately or on the date requested by the member.
    2. The Multiply Plan will start on the start date mentioned on the confirmation of membership.

 

  1. Membership fees

 

    1. Membership fees will be payable to Momentum Multiply.
      1. Membership fees may be increased or decreased, as the case may be, by Momentum Multiply in its sole discretion, and will be applied to existing Multiply Members on an annual basis at the beginning of each year.
      2. Payment frequency will be monthly or such other frequency determined by Momentum Multiply from time to time.
      3. Monthly membership fees will be guaranteed for the year.
      4. Fees are inclusive of Value-Added Tax (VAT). The provisions of the Value-Added Tax Act 89 of 1991 and subsequent amendments will be applicable.
      5. Any change in membership fees will be communicated to members at least one month in advance.

 

Individual business:

      1. Membership fees are payable in advance on the date of the member’s choice, once per month.
      2. Membership fees are calculated by the Multiply Plan type selected and the number of members of different role types on the Multiply Plan.
      3. On membership activation the time period between the initial activation date and end of that initial activation month will be free.

 

Group business:

      1. Membership fee may be paid monthly in advance or monthly in arrears.

      1. Individual Debit order
      2. Payroll deduction (if your company has a Stop Order agreement in place with Multiply).

 

Group business:

      1. Company Debit order
      2. Stop order

 

  1. Identification

 

    1. Multiply Members may be identified by the Multiply Partners through use of their online profile credentials, RSA ID number, client number or membership number, or by such other mode as may be prescribed by Momentum Multiply to the Multiply Member from time to time which may be specific for each or a group of Multiply Partners.
    2. The identification process for the Multiply Members shall be as specified in the specific rules for that Multiply partner.

 

  1. Eligible Benefits

 

    1. Multiply Members will be eligible for the benefits as per the Multiply Plan specified on the confirmation of membership, as long as the membership is active (and not suspended or terminated).

    1. Momentum Product Rewards
      1. Members that contribute to the improvement of the status may earn Momentum Product Rewards (Main Member and Partner).
      2. The discount and/or cashbacks that members can receive for each Momentum product is defined per product and can be found here.
      3. Product house (Momentum Medical Scheme, Momentum Car and Home Insurance, Myriad, FundsAtWork, etc.) discounts are calculated within the respective product houses and changes to these earnings are managed in the product houses.
      4. Multiply Money operates separately from Multiply and members should take note of the separate Terms and Conditions that are published for this product, which can be found here.

 

    1. Multiply Partner Rewards

These Rules shall apply in conjunction with Benefit Rules specific to each Multiply Partner.

      1. Momentum Multiply has entered into arrangements with Multiply Partner(s) for the purposes of providing benefits under Multiply.
      2. Multiply Members will earn discounts and/or cashbacks, or be entitled to such other privileges as may be published by Momentum Multiply from time to time from the Multiply Partner(s).
      3. The member roles that qualify for each of the Multiply Partners rewards are specified per partner and can be found here.
      4. The discount and/or cashbacks that members can receive for each Multiply Partner is defined separately and can be found here.
      5. Depending on the number of members on the membership, as well as the roles of these members, the membership will be bound to limits on the different categories of Multiply Partner Rewards. These are specified by per reward type and spending category, as listed here.
      6. The manner of earning/gaining/credit of the Rewards/Discounts/Benefits under Multiply shall be specific to each Multiply Partner and/or as specified by Momentum Multiply from time to time on its digital channels or as provided in the Multiply Partner’s Website.
      7. Cashbacks will accrue to the Multiply Member within such time and duration as may be specified with respect to each Multiply Partner from time to time.
      8. Multiply Members may use their cashbacks using the payment and transfer mechanisms available as part of Multiply Money in the health and retail industries, as listed here and here.
      9. Benefits may only be applied in terms of these rules.
      10. Benefits provided will also be governed by the Multiply Partner’s terms and conditions.
      11. Momentum Multiply may, in its sole discretion, terminate, cancel, amend or vary the Multiply Partners and adjust benefits accordingly.
      12. Multiply Members will not qualify for benefits in respect of a Multiply Partner who has been terminated or has withdrawn from participating in Multiply.
      13. Benefits are available only in South Africa.

 

  1. Multiply Status and Points

 

    1. Introduction
      1. The Multiply Statuses for Multiply Premier are: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Private Club.
      2. Some of the Multiply benefits depend on the Multiply Status of the membership.
      3. The higher the Multiply Member’s Status, the more benefits they can enjoy.
      4. If Multiply Status changes upwards or downwards, the Multiply benefits that depend on the membership status may also change.
      5. The Multiply Status is determined and applied at membership level to all family members who are Multiply Member(s) on the same membership.
      6. At the end of every year, Multiply memberships will retain the Multiply Status earned in that year for the duration of the next year. The Multiply Status of the membership will be adjusted to a lower level if the members do not earn enough Points to maintain their current Multiply Status during the year.

 

    1. Points
      1. Multiply Members can earn Points by undertaking health, safety and money management activities and/or by participating in various wellness initiatives or activities defined under the programme.

 

    1. Moving up through the Multiply Status levels
      1. New Multiply Member(s) will enter the programme and start on Bronze Status.
      2. The number of Multiply Members on the Multiply membership will determine the number of Points required to move up the different Multiply Statuses.
      3. The Main Member and Partner contribute to the Points on the membership and are the only two roles that can therefore improve the status of the membership.
      4. To move up a Multiply Status, Multiply Members must earn enough points to reach the relevant Multiply Status threshold.
      5. At the beginning of a new year, the membership may start on a status that was carried over from the previous year, but the membership will have zero points for the year.
      6. The points-contributing members on the membership will have to earn sufficient points during the year to keep their carried-over status.

 

    1. Thresholds
      1. To illustrate how a membership can move through statuses, what follows are examples of the points that different compositions of Multiply memberships will earn:
        1. If the Main Member is the only points-earning member on the membership, the threshold for one adult applies to move up a Multiply Status.
        2. If there are two points-earning members on the membership (Main Member and Partner), the threshold is double that applicable for an individual member to move up a Multiply Status.

 

  1. Suspensions

                             

    1. If the Multiply Member has not paid the membership fee when due, Momentum Multiply will suspend the Multiply membership after the second failed payment.
    2. The Multiply Member will continue to accumulate Points, but cannot redeem any Product or Partner benefit under the Multiply Plan until the membership has been activated again.
    3. The Multiply Member will not eligible to receive any partner discounts or cashbacks for transactions at qualifying partners for the period that the membership is suspended.
    4. The Multiply Member has up to and including 30 days after the membership has been suspended to pay the outstanding membership fees and have his/her Multiply membership activated again.
    5. Activation of a suspended membership will result in the allocation of valid Points earned during the suspended period.
    6. Activation of a suspended membership will not result in the arrears calculation and allocation of discounts or cashbacks for the period that the membership was suspended, neither will product rewards and discounts be allocated retrospectively.

 

  1. Termination of membership or benefits

 

    1. If the Multiply Member does not pay the outstanding membership fees within 3 months from it being due, the suspended Momentum Multiply membership will be terminated.
    2. Once a Multiply membership has been terminated after the third month of unpaid membership fees, the membership cannot be activated again. All Points earned during the suspended period will be lost. If the member wishes to enrol for Multiply again, they will have to start a new membership on Bronze status with no Points or cashbacks.
    3. The Main Member may cancel the Multiply Plan at any time during the month. The cancellation will be effective at the end of the month of cancellation. No refunds will be made to members for the period between the date the cancellation was requested and the date that the cancellation is effective.
    4. After the cancellation of a Multiply Premier Plan on request of the Main Member, the members on the plan may still have an active Multiply Starter plan.
    5. Momentum Multiply may cancel or suspend Multiply Members’ membership upon conclusion of investigation proving one of the below:
      1. Multiply Members breach any of the rules of Multiply; or
      2. Multiply Member(s) are using the benefit(s) of the program in an abusive and/or fraudulent manner.
    6. In the event of termination or cancellation, Multiply Member shall not be eligible for any Product or Partner benefit under the Multiply Plan.

 

  1. Termination of qualifying Momentum products

 

a member cancels either the Momentum product that was bought in conjunction with a Momentum Multiply Plan and/or the existing Momentum product that was deemed as a Qualifying Product for Momentum Multiply at the point of application, the cancellation of the Momentum product or the Qualifying Product will not result in the automatic cancellation of the Multiply membership. The Multiply membership will continue until the member requests a cancellation by notifying Momentum Multiply of the intent to also cancel the Multiply Plan.

the member did not communicate the request for cancellation to Multiply within 1 month, no refunds will be made to members for the period between the cancellation of Momentum Product and/or Qualifying Product and the date that the cancellation of the Multiply membership is effective.

a member joined Multiply without a Qualifying Product as part of a campaign, and the member did not adhere to the campaign rules that state the period in which a member has to sign up for a Momentum Product, the member will be notified three months in advance. The membership will be cancelled at the end of the three months if the member still did not sign up for a Momentum Product.

a member applied for and joined Multiply with a Qualifying Product, but the Qualifying Product is not taken up, cancelled or not issued, the Multiply membership will also be terminated and membership fees will be refunded. No benefit shall become payable under this Multiply Plan.

 

  1. Movement between Multiply Plans

 

    1. Multiply Members will be able to upgrade from one Multiply Plan to another Multiply Plan with higher membership fees. Points and Multiply Status earned will be retained when Multiply Member(s) upgrade to another Multiply Plan with higher membership fees.
    2. Multiply Members can downgrade from the existing Multiply Plan to another Multiply Plan with lower membership fees.
    3. All plan movements will be effective at the end of the month that it was requested in.
    4. Multiply Premier or Multiply Provider Memberships that are cancelled by the Main Member will result in a movement of the members on the plan to the Multiply Starter plan.

 

  1. Factors that affect the membership

 

    1. Marriage

If two Multiply Members marry each other:

      1. They have the option to retain their respective Multiply Plans or to cancel any one of the Multiply Plans and enrol the other Multiply Member on the prevailing Multiply Plan as a Partner.
      2. No Multiply Member is allowed to be a Main Member on one membership and a Partner on another membership, but has to select a single membership to belong to.
      3. Membership fees: The Multiply Member being enrolled on the prevailing Multiply Plan will incur the latest applicable membership fees on a pro-rata basis. From the month following the request, the adjusted membership fees will apply.
      4. Points: Points earned by the member moving across to the other membership during the during the year on the cancelled Multiply Plan will be credited in the continuing Multiply Plan.
      5. Multiply Status: The Multiply Status that the continuing Multiply Plan attained in that particular year will be maintained for the remainder of the year, as per the standard rules regarding Status. Should the number of Points earned by the Members not be sufficient to meet the new threshold to retain the particular Multiply Status at the end of the Multiply Plan year, the Multiply Status will be adjusted accordingly at the start of the following Multiply Plan year.
      6. Points: Multiply Member specific Points will be carried over to the new Multiply Plan.

 

    1. Demise

In case of the demise of the Main Member, the following shall apply:

        1. For Single memberships and Family memberships where no Partner or Adult Dependants exist on the Multiply Plan:
          1. The Multiply membership will be terminated
        2. For Family memberships with a Partners and/or Adult Dependant members on the Multiply Plan:
          1. The Partner or Adult dependant will be informed of the opportunity to continue the Multiply membership.
          2. The Multiply plan may be transferred to the Partner or Adult Dependant upon request.
          3. The removal date of the demised Main Member will be the date on which the death certificate is received by Multiply.
          4. If there is no transfer request, the membership will be terminated.
          5. All benefits accrued will remain intact and will be re-calculated based on the Multiply plan composition.

 

In the case of demise of any other member on the membership, the following shall apply:

        1. The Main Member can request Momentum Multiply to remove this member from the Multiply Plan
        2. The removal date of the demised member will be the date on which the death certificate is received by Multiply.
        3. All benefits accrued will remain intact and will be re-calculated based on the Multiply plan composition.
        4. If the Main Member requests a refund for a period of time for a deceased member, the Main Member has to provide Momentum Multiply with a death certificate.

 

    1. Divorce or separation

In the case where a Main Member and partner get divorced or separated and both parties want to continue as Multiply Member(s) on separate Multiply Plans, the following will apply upon request by the Main Member:

 

      1. On the Main Member’s Multiply Plan:
        1. Removal of the Partner from the Multiply Plan.
        2. Removal of points earned by such Multiply Members.
        3. Change thresholds and spending limits based on roles defined on the Multiply Plan.
        4. Current earned Multiply Status remains the same.
      1. On the Partner’s Multiply Plan:
        1. The Partner that is removed from the Multiply Plan has to apply for a new Multiply Plan within 30 days of being removed from the previous membership if he/she wants to carry over any benefit from the previous membership.
        2. If the application is received within 30 days of removal, the Multiply Status of previous Multiply Plan will be retained.
          1. Multiply earned Status will be carried over to the new Multiply Plan.
          2. Points will be reset to zero on the new Multiply Plan.
      2. This member will be the Main Member on the new Multiply Plan.
      3. The Children and/or Adult Dependants will only be allowed to be associated with either the Main Member or the Partner’s membership, not both.

 

  1. Limitation of Liability

 

    1. Momentum Multiply and/or its subsidiaries, holding company/ies, agents and authorised representatives do not accept responsibility for the accuracy of representations, information, advice, guidance, products and services provided by the Multiply Partners or financial advisers in any form whatsoever.
    2. Momentum Multiply shall not incur any liability for acts or omissions of any party, including but not limited to Multiply Partners, relating to the use of the Multiply programme.
    3. Information contained on Multiply Partner websites is made available without any express, implied or tacit representation of warranty whatsoever, and Momentum Multiply disclaims liability for any expense incurred, or any damage or loss sustained which may or could arise from direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages and which may be attributable, directly or indirectly to the use of or reliance upon any information, links or services provided through the Momentum Multiply digital channels and emanating from either contract, delict, taxation or any applicable legislation.
    4. Momentum Multiply will take reasonable care to prevent loss or damage to Multiply Members. Momentum Multiply will not be liable for any loss or damage related to a Multiply Member’s use of the Multiply programme and the use of any goods or services provided through the Multiply programme.
    5. The Main Member, Partner and Dependants indemnify Momentum Metropolitan Holdings (MMH) and its subsidiaries (of which Momentum Multiply (Pty) Ltd is part of), associated retirement funds, agents and authorised representatives against any loss suffered, including but not limited to a loss of money, on account of any wilful default, negligence, fraud or misrepresentation or abuse or any illegal activity.
    6. Multiply Members are fully responsible for any tax implications arising from or associated with any discounts, rewards, benefits received, accumulated or spent due to the Multiply Member being a member of, or participating in, the Multiply programme. Multiply Members are advised to obtain their own tax advice regarding any benefit they may receive in terms of these rules. Momentum Multiply will not be responsible for any tax consequences that may arise.

 

  1. Legal matters

 

    1. Momentum Multiply may, in its sole discretion and at any time, amend these rules and/or any business rules associated with them in any manner whatsoever. Such amendments may include, but shall not be limited to, amendments to the amounts and percentages referred to in these rules as well as changing the model of the Multiply programme.
    2. Momentum Multiply shall provide the Multiply Members with reasonable notice of any such intended amendment by publishing the details thereof on Momentum Multiply digital channels or any other manner as Momentum Multiply may determine in its sole discretion.
    3. Momentum Multiply may at its sole discretion decide who may participate in the Multiply programme.
    4. Any Benefit allocated to a Multiply Member takes into account prevailing legislation and/or any applicable practice. In the event of a change in the applicable legislation and/or practice, Momentum Multiply reserves the right to adjust the Benefits accordingly without any reasonable notice to Multiply Members.
    5. Multiply Members have no legal relationship with Momentum Multiply or Multiply, other than being bound by these rules, which will stay valid.
    6. If one or more of these rules is invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, it has no impact on the validity of remaining rules, which will stay valid.
    7. References to any literature, including but not limited to digital channels, does not mean Momentum Metropolitan Holdings (MMH) and its subsidiaries (of which Momentum Multiply (Pty) Ltd is part of), agents and authorized representatives, accept responsibility for the accuracy of the content of such literature.
    8. The Multiply Member acknowledges and understands that Momentum Metropolitan Holdings (MMH) and its subsidiaries (of which Momentum Multiply (Pty) Ltd is part of), associated retirement funds, agents and authorized representatives will not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the Multiply Member arising from any cause whatsoever in respect of the Benefits.

 

  1. How to report a complaint and/or query

 

    1. Any query and / or complaint arising out of or in connection with Momentum Multiply and/or its programme and the documentation associated therewith shall be referred to Momentum Multiply customer care department, at the following address: 268 West Avenue, Centurion, 0157
    2. All queries and complaints shall be addressed in accordance to the Market Conduct and Complaints Group Framework.
    3. Momentum Multiply will within 24 hours upon receipt of complaint acknowledge receipt thereof and promptly inform a complainant of the process.
    4. Momentum Multiply will attempt to resolve a query within 5 business working days; should the query not be resolved within the stipulated timelines Momentum Multiply will escalate the query to the Escalation Team and this will be logged as a complaint.
    5. Momentum Multiply will disclose to a complainant expected turn-around times in relation to complaints.
    6. Momentum Multiply will attempt to resolve the complaint within 30 (thirty) business working days; a decision will be provided to the complainant in writing.
    7. Should the 30 (thirty) business working days lapse Momentum Multiply will inform the complainant of the reasons of why the complaint has not been resolved within the prescribed period of 30 (thirty) days. Where the complaint is upheld any commitment by Momentum Multiply to make compensation payment, goodwill payment or take any other action will be carried out without undue delay and within any agreed timeframe with the complainant. Where a complaint has been rejected, the complainant will be provided with clear and adequate reasons for the decision. The complainant has 90 business working days within which to they can accept or reject the decision/outcome in writing.
    8. Should the member not be satisfied with the resolution or the decision made after following the internal complaints handling and escalation process the member may lodge the complaint with National Consumer Commission (NCC) under the Consumer Protection Act. Momentum Multiply will provide the NCC contact details (012 428 7000/email: [email protected]) to member in writing as part of the correspondence of the final decision made.  
    9. Momentum Multiply will make available to the member the Momentum Multiply website (www.multiply.co.za) or the Multiply client contact centre number (0861 88 66 00) whereby a member can call or WhatsApp Momentum Multiply; members may complete the 'Call me back' form on www.multiply.co.za so that Momentum Mutiply can contact the member.
    10. The member may lodge a query to Multiply through the Momentum website (www.momentum.co.za), which will handled in accordance to the Multiply query handling and escalation process.

 

  1. Personal information

 

    1. Momentum Multiply will make sure that the Privacy Notice is made available on the Multiply website (www.multiply.co.za) and will update it from time to time in line with business and regulatory changes.
    2. By participating in the Multiply programme (Premier, Provider and/or Starter) the member consents to the processing and retaining of personal information submitted by the member, the financial adviser or the Multiply service provider of all members (i.e. partner, dependants) on their programme and that this information may be shared within the Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Group and Multiply service providers for the purpose of carrying out the actions for Multiply to allocate Multiply benefits  which shall include various discounts, cashbacks and points.
    3. Where a minor is included in the Momentum Multiply programme, Momentum Multiply will obtain consent from the minor’s guardian for the processing and retention of the minor’s personal information.
    4. For the purpose of carrying out the actions for Multiply to allocate Multiply benefits which shall include various discounts, cashbacks and points, Multiply will make members aware of their right of access, update or correct their personal information.
    5. Momentum Multiply will make available a platform(s) for members to access, correct and/or update their personal information.
    6. Momentum Multiply prior to processing special personal information (SPI) must obtain consent from the member. Special personal information refers to religious or philosophical beliefs, race or ethnic origin, trade union membership, political persuasion, health or sex life or biometric information, criminal behaviour of the data subject.
    7. Instances where Momentum Multiply members that have joined the programme under a corporate fund, corporate/medical scheme, Momentum Multiply will be required to obtain consent for the processing, retaining and sharing of member information.
    8. Momentum Multiply may use member(s) information for historical, statistical and research purposes only when consent has been obtained from the member(s). Appropriate security measures should be implemented to safeguard the information and the information used should be kept confidential and anonymous so as to not compromise the privacy of the member(s).

The Multiply Member's address for purposes of legal notices and proceedings and with regards to the giving of any notice provided for or necessary in terms of these rules will be the postal or physical address as supplied or updated by the member in the application form or on any Momentum Multiply platform. 4. How to use this benefit:

  • Members must visit cmaths.co.za to find a teacher (Sensei) closest to them by clicking on the “Contact Us” or the “Enroll your Child” button. 
  • Members must call the sensei on the listed number and make a booking for the child or if they choose the enroll option, a sensei will contact them and advise on what the next steps are. 
  • Download and complete the registration form available on the CMATHS website and give it to the sensei on the first appointment.
  • At the first lesson, members will need to pay an up-front fee (after the Multiply discount) and their child can start the course.
  • CMATHS will validate the member’s Multiply membership and if their child is a member on their Multiply contract. Member must present their ID number or Multiply client number to the sensei when making payment. 
  • The monthly fees are paid to the sensei at the end of each month.

  • Room bookings must be for a minimum of three consecutive nights, or two consecutive nights, which include a Saturday night.

8. Authorisation deposit:

  • An authorisation deposit is the amount that Avis will “hold” on the credit card when they provide members with a specific vehicle for rental. For more information, visit www.avis.co.za. The authorisation deposit money is only reserved and not actually “taken” from the credit card account. However, this “hold” does reduce the amount of funds available to the credit card holder.
  • Once the vehicle is returned and the rental is invoiced, Avis will debit the credit card for the additional charges only (e.g. any petrol fees or other amounts payable other than the actual rental, which is pre-paid via Multiply). They will then cancel the authorisation deposit
  • It takes about five days for the funds to reflect as available in the credit card holder’s account. 
  • For weekend rentals, Avis takes a credit card authorisation for the estimated cost of the rental, plus the following additional weekend authorisation*: 
  • Inland locations –R5 000, and
  • Coastal locations –R2 000.
  • The additional weekend authorisation will be waived on presentation of a valid airline boarding pass. This excludes Kaiser Matanzima Airport in Mthatha.

 

9. Paying for the rental vehicle:

  • Members can only pay with a valid credit card. Avis accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners Club.
  • Members must have enough credit on your credit card for the authorisation deposit amount (visit www.avis.co.za for more information).

6.Paying for your accommodation

  • Members can only pay with a valid MasterCard or Visa credit card.

7.Changing or cancelling a booking

  • Members are liable for paying an administration fee if they change their booking.
  • City Lodge Hotels’ standard rules for changes apply to Multiply bookings. Members do not get a discount on the cost charged for changing their booking.
  • If the new price is higher than the original, members will have to pay the difference. If the new price is lower than the original, members will lose the difference.
  • Members are allowed to cancel their bookings, but Multiply will not refund members, unless for reasons related to hospitalisation or death (subject to proof). If members cancel for other reasons, they will have to use their booking on another date. Please note that additional costs could be involved.
  • A changed booking must be used within 3 months of the original booking date.

Changing or cancelling a booking

The results for all race events members enter using Entrytime/Enteronline will be sent through to Multiply and will automatically allocate points.
If members enter other race events, they can still manually claim points for successfully completing these events by using Entrytime/Enteronline.  To do this, members must:

1.What is the benefit ?

  • The Healthy Heart Score gives you an indication of how healthy a member’s heart is. Results from a completed Health Assessment are used to calculate a score to identify which category the heart health falls in, either: green, amber or red. This indicates if the member is currently causing progressive harm that could result in  cardiovascular  disease (CVD).
  • This information can be used to help members take better care of their heart health.


2.Who may use this benefit?

  • A Healthy Heart Score (HHS) will be calculated for all Multiply Premier, Multiply Provider and Multiply Starter members.


3.How this benefit works:

  • A set of components and measurements are required to calculate a HHS for a member. These include; blood pressure, glucose or HbA1c, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol (optional), body fat percentage together with smoker’s status.
  • Points are awarded for each component/measurement.
  • The points are then added together to get a final score, which will place a member into either a green, amber or red category.
  • Results:
  • Red – You need to take strong action to reduce your CVD risk factors. 
  • Amber – You should take action to reduce your CVD risk factors. 
  • Green – All your CVD risk factors are under control for now.

  • Unless Intercape and a passenger agree otherwise, and at the sole discretion of Intercape, each fare-paying passenger is permitted to take, free of charge, two pieces of luggage and goods, each of which does not exceed 80cm x 60cm x 30cm in size, and of a total mass (all luggage and goods combined) not exceeding 20kg for domestic departures, and 30kg for cross-border departures.

6.Alterations
  • A ticket is valid for the use only by the passenger to whom it is issued and for the route, date and time shown thereon.
  • A ticket can be cancelled and a refund issued subject to the following:
  • SAVER tickets 48 hours or more before the scheduled departure time, with a 25% cancellation fee;
  • FLEXI tickets 24 hours or more before the scheduled departure time, with a 15% cancellation fee; and
  • FULL FLEXI tickets 12 hours or more before the scheduled departure time, with a 10% cancellation fee.
  • Notwithstanding the above, all tickets can be cancelled and will be refunded without any cancellation fee, provided that the cancellation is performed within 1 (one) hour after the ticket was purchased, but not within 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
  • Changes can be made directly with Intercape or through the Multiply Travel Desk.
  • Multiply Members are not allowed to transfer to Non-Multiply Members.

Child dependants:

5.Benefit rules:

  • There is no flight limit for Multiply Starter members – they can book at 7.5%.

6.How to use this benefit – booking flights:

Members can book a Mango flight in any of the following ways:

  • Online - visit www.flymango.com: click on the Momentum Multiply tab and login as a Multiply member.
  • Via the Mango mobile site at www.flymango.com: login with your Multiply member details.
  • Via the Mango Mobile App: available for download from Apple iStore, Blackberry World, Android Market and the Mango mobisite.
  • Members will need their Multiply client number and ID number when they make a booking.
  • Only Mango flights are to be booked on the www.flymango.com website. Book Avis car rental through www.avis.co.za in order to receive your car rental benefit.
  • Make sure that all details of travellers are correctly displayed (full names and ID numbers) before completing any booking, as these names will be displayed on the booking detail, and needs to match the detail on the travellers’ ID books.
  • Members must remember to take their ID document and voucher/itinerary to the airport when they collect their boarding pass.
  • Members can check in online even before they get to the airport. Please note: Members  cannot check in online for a booking that was made within 12 hours of flight departure. The ID number in the booking must match the ID number members enter. (This service is not available in Bloemfontein.)
  • Members can pre-book their favourite seat, at applicable Mango rates, before they fly if they book early enough.Members can bring their bicycle or tandem bicycle with them on the plane at applicable Mango rates.
  • Members can also check in golf clubs with their luggage at a fee per sector. The weight allowance for the golf clubs is included in the checked-in luggage weight allowance. If the total checked-in weight exceeds 20kg, additional fees per kilogram will be charged.
     

7.Paying for flights:

  • Members can pay for travel bookings on www.flymango.com by using Mango’s various flexible payment options available to Multiply members.

 
8.Changing or cancelling your booking:

  • If members change their booking they will be liable for paying an administration fee. 
  • Mango’s standard rules for changes apply to Multiply bookings. Members do not get a discount on the cost charged for changing their flights.
  • If the price of the new flight is higher than the original flight, members will have to pay the difference. If the price of the new flight is lower than the original flight, members  will lose the difference.
  • Members are allowed to cancel flights, but Multiply will not refund the member , unless for reasons related to hospitalisation or death (subject to proof). If members cancel for other reasons, they will have to use their ticket on another date. Please note that additional costs could be involved.
  • Reservation changes may be made up to 2 hours before departure of the booked flight.
  • Changes may be made on the Mango website or through the Multiply travel Desk. A relevant administration fee (as decided by us from time to time) per transaction, plus the difference in fare, if applicable, will be charged per member . The above is also applicable to name changes.
  • Multiply Members are not allowed to transfer to Non-Multiply Members.


9.Cancellation, Rerouting, Delays, and Denied Boarding:

  • Mango will take all necessary and reasonable measures to avoid delay in carrying you and your Baggage. In the exercise of these measures and in order to prevent a flight cancellation, in exceptional circumstances Mango may arrange for a flight to be operated on our behalf by an alternative carrier and/or aircraft. 
  • If Mango are unable to provide previously confirmed space, it  shall provide compensation to those members  denied boarding in accordance with applicable law and our denied boarding compensation policy.
  • Where a flight is cancelled due to reasons caused by weather conditions, air traffic control, technical, industrial unrest or an Act of God, Mango will, at your election:
  • Refund all monies received in respect of the confirmed reservation, or Place the member on the next flight, subject to seat availability.
  • Mango does not accept any further liability whatsoever for cancelled flights.

 
10.Refunds and Credit Vouchers:

  • After confirmation of a reservation, no refunds or credit voucher will be granted under and circumstances, apart from the following:
  • If a flight is cancelled by us;
  • If we are unable to honour the Guest’s reservation resulting in the Guest being denied boarding;
  • Or as otherwise provided for in these Conditions of Carriage.
  • Any refunds will be made either to the Guest named in the Ticket or to the person who has paid for the Ticket, upon presentation of satisfactory proof of such payment, subject to the deduction of a reasonable administration fee.
  • Refunds (and/or credit vouchers referred to below) will not be granted where a Guest fails to check in within the applicable Check-in Deadline or fails to board the aircraft.
  • A credit voucher issued by MANGO will be valid for a period of three (3) months from the date on the credit voucher. A credit voucher may only be used on MANGO flights by the Guest named on it during the validity period. Any difference between the credit voucher value and the fare for the new booking must be paid by the Guest.
  • In the event of death or hospitalization a refund maybe issued by Mango is the necessary documentation is submitted as proof. Please call the Multiply Travel Desk on 0861 100 155 for assistance as well.

1. Who can use this benefit?

This benefit is available to all principal members, their spouses or partners and adult dependants on Multiply Premier, Multiply Provider and Multiply Starter.

2. More about the fitness assessment

  • The one-on-one assessment takes approximately 30 minutes and is performed by a registered health professional. It involves:
  • Body composition
  • Fitness test
  • Muscle strength

After the assessment, members will receive comprehensive feedback on each component of the test, as well as an overall fitness level (ranging from 1 - 5). This result is valid for a period of 12 (twelve) months. 

Members can earn points on Multiply Premier and Multiply Provider for completing this fitness assessment, as well as cashbacks and discounts on their Momentum products for as long as their fitness assessment is valid.

Only a Multiply fitness assessment will be accepted and used to apply points and Momentum product rewards.

3. How this benefit works

Members will pay R395 for a Multiply fitness assessment at any health professional licensed to perform the assessment. Please note: Members must pay the health professional directly (either by cash or card, depending on the payment options offered by the health professional), but can claim this from their Momentum HealthSaver account if there are sufficient funds to cover the cost.

4. How to use this benefit

  • To book a Multiply fitness assessment with the closest health professional, members should:

    • Select a health professional from the list and either contact them directly, or – if available – click on a time to book an appointment.
    • Fill in the necessary details, and under “reason for appointment”, the member should select “Multiply assessment”.

5. Earning Multiply points

  • After completing the Multiply fitness assessment, members will earn points upfront depending on the fitness level achieved:
    • Level 1 – 10 points 
    • Level 2 – 20 points
    • Level 3 – 40 points
    • Level 4 – 60 points
    • Level 5 – 80 points
  • Multiply members can go for as many fitness assessments in a calendar year as they would like, provided that four weeks have passed since the last assessment, as it takes time to improve. Multiply will always consider the highest fitness level that a member achieves when determining points and calculating rewards.
  •  For every fitness assessment done, members will get the points for their new fitness level in the following month. If a member’s fitness level improves, they will receive the difference in points. For example, if a member scores a Level 3 in January, then completes another fitness assessment in May and scores a Level 4, they will earn the variance of 20 points, which is the difference in points from Level 3 to 4.

1. Introduction

 
1.1. These terms and conditions take effect when you successfully register on the USSD channel
1.2. These terms and conditions must be read in conjunction with the Multiply Programme rules and Multiply Money terms and conditions.

2. Definitions
 
2.1. “Accountholder” means the benefit holder of Multiply Money or is the person who registers on the USSD channel and is legally responsible for all charges.
2.2. “Multiply Money” means a facility made up of a savings wallet and a payment wallet.
2.3. “Network service provider” means Wireless communication network provider that connects clients/ subscribers for a nominal fee or charge“
2.4. “payment wallet” means a facility within Multiply Money from which you can make payments.
2.5. “RICA” means The Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-Related Information Act 70 of 2002
2.6. “savings wallet” means a facility within Multiply Money where you can accumulate cashbacks and earn interest
2.7. “This Agreement” means these terms and conditions governing the use of USSD.
2.8. “Truteq” means Truteq Wireless (Pty) Ltd (Reg No: 2001/021310/07) and refers to the USSD specialist partner
2.9. “USSD” means Unstructured Supplementary Service Data and is a channel that enables you to carry out transactions with Multiply by dialling a short code on your phone.
2.10. “USSD PIN” means the access PIN set by you during the USSD channel registration process
2.11. “We or us” given the context means either MMI, MMI Multiply (Pty) Ltd, Truteq, Momentum or all parties collectively.
2.12. “You” or “Your” means you the Multiply member.

3. Registering for and using USSD
 
3.1. You may only register for USSD using your own mobile number (which has been authenticated by your network provider in terms of RICA), identity number or Multiply Money details.
3.2. You can only transact on your USSD account using your own USSD PIN.
3.3. To use USSD, you must accept these terms and conditions and a new USSD PIN must be created. Once you have your USSD PIN, you are deemed to have been successfully authenticated and registered to make use of the USSD channel. You must always keep your USSD PIN secret and not share it with anyone.
3.4. When your USSD PIN is entered, any transactions undertaken on the USSD channel are deemed to be instructions coming directly from you. This means that even if someone else uses your USSD PIN, we will carry out the instruction as if you have authorised it.

4. Transacting with USSD
 

4.1. When you use USSD you are communicating with us using a mobile phone, so there is no direct personal contact between you and us.
4.2. As stated in point 3.4 above when your USSD PIN is entered, we will assume that any activity or instruction given on the USSD channel is valid.
4.3. We will not be responsible for any loss you suffer if you enter incorrect details, if you submit an instruction more than once or if someone else uses your USSD PIN.
4.4. We may at any time choose to extend or reduce the range of transactional features available through this USSD channel
 
5. Charges and fees

5.1. You will not be charged when you register for the USSD channel. Normal transaction fees will apply for any transactions you perform using the USSD channel as per the terms and conditions associated with Multiply Money.
5.2. If you do not pay our fees or do not have enough money in your account to pay them, you may have limited functionality on the channel. For more information on fees, visit multiply.co.za.
5.3. Network provider charges apply to the use of the USSD channel. For more information on these charges, you will need to contact your Network provider

6. Keeping your USSD PIN secret

6.1. You must keep your USSD PIN secret and your mobile phone safe at all times. Someone who knows your USSD PIN and has access to your phone may access your Multiply Money wallets
6.2. You indemnify us against any loss or damage you may suffer if you share your USSD PIN with anyone else.
6.3. If you suspect that someone knows your USSD PIN, you must report it immediately to Multiply Money on 0860 11 11 83.
6.4. If you ask us to change your USSD PIN, we will need to verify your identity and may ask you for proof.
6.5. We will never ask you for your USSD PIN. You must not respond to any request to disclose your USSD PIN.

7. Availability of USSD

7.1. The USSD channel may not always be available. We may experience technical failures or other circumstances beyond our control.
7.2. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage you may suffer:
7.2.1. due to the unavailability of the USSD channel; or
7.2.2. if you cannot use the USSD channel due to Network Provider availability problems.

8. Using and sharing your personal information

8.1. You agree that we may collect and process your Personal Information so that we can:
8.1.1. create, manage, and administer your profile and your Multiply Money wallets;
8.1.2. provide a combination of services, analysis or information linked to your Multiply Money wallets;
8.1.3. observe and analyse activities on your profile and Multiply Money wallets for risks such as fraud and non-compliance; and
8.1.4. analyse information to identify trends and develop new channel features, products and services.
8.2. You agree that we may share your Personal Information with any third party who;
8.2.1. provides services to us or partner with us in rendering this service to you,
8.2.2. acts as our agent, or
8.2.3. has been given, or may be given, any of our rights and duties in respect of your account or profile.
8.3. We ask our service providers to agree to our privacy policies if they need to access any personal information to carry out those services.

9. Miscellaneous

9.1. You may not vary the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement.

2.The status levels

  • Multiply Premier offers five status levels. The higher the member’s status, the more benefits the member can enjoy.
  • Multiply Provider offers three levels. The higher the member’s level, the more benefits the member can enjoy
  • Members can only move up to a higher status or level by earning Multiply points.
  • The point threshold for the different status levels for both Multiply Premier and Multiply Provider, as shown in the tables below, differs for a single or family membership.

3.Types of membership and the status and levels

  • The number of adults on the Multiply membership will determine the number of points required to move up the status levels:
  • Single member: A member earns points and the single threshold applies.
  • Family of two: If the dependant is the partner, then both the member and partner earn points and the family threshold applies. If the dependant is a child (single parent), then the member earns points and the single threshold applies.
  • Family of three: If one of the dependants is the partner, then both the member and partner earn points and the family threshold applies. If the dependants are all children (single parent), then the member earns points and the single threshold applies.

 
4.Status and level rules

  • Members may only move to a higher status or level by earning Multiply points, in the ways set out in point 6 of this section of the document.

 
5.Joining Multiply Premier and moving up through the status levels

  • New members will be placed on Bronze status. The more points they earn, the higher the status they will reach.
  • The different levels are: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Private Club status.
  • To move up a level, members must earn enough points to reach the relevant status threshold.


6.Joining Multiply Provider and moving up through the levels

  • New members will be placed on Level 1. The more points they earn, the higher the level they will reach.
  • The different levels are: Level1, Level 2 and Level 3.
  • To move up a level, members must earn enough points to reach the relevant status threshold.


7.There are no levels for Multiply Starter members

  • Multiply status is guaranteed for a set time only
  • A member’s Multiply status will remain in place from the time they earn the relevant status level until the end of the following calendar year, unless:
  • their membership changes,
  • the point structure of the Multiply status levels changes, or
  • they have not earned enough points to maintain their current status. For example: if they have earned sufficient points in a calendar year to achieve Gold status, then they will remain on Gold status for the duration of the next calendar year.
  • Multiply status will, however, be adjusted to a lower status if the member did not earn enough points to maintain their current status in a calendar year.

 
8.When members move from another rewards programme to Multiply

  • Momentum may, at its sole discretion, place a new member, who was previously a member of a similar lifestyle rewards programme, on a comparable status level (points will not be allocated) for the remainder of the calendar year, provided the member gives us a points statement not older than one month.
  • Members will stay on this status level for the rest of the following calendar year.
  • Members will start earning Multiply points from the date of joining Multiply and will earn roll-over points based on the points they accumulated during the calendar year from the date of joining Multiply.
  • Members must earn the required points during the following calendar year to make sure that they can stay on the same status level.

 
9.Some rewards/benefits are dependent on the status level

  • The details of some Multiply rewards depend on the member’s status level. If the member’s Multiply status changes, the rules relating to how they can use the reward/benefit may also change. 

 

10.Who may earn points?

  • Principal members and spouse/partners earn points for activities on Multiply.
  • Adult dependants do not earn points.

12.Limits to earning points

  • Please note that there are annual limits to:
  • how many points members can earn for specific activities,
  • how many points members can earn for points categories as a whole, and
  • how often members can do certain activities and still earn points.

14.Have cover

  • Members must keep their policies with Momentum and/ or Momentum Metropolitan - administered schemes active and points will be awarded automatically every year.
  • Only premium-paying policies or policies with a minimum fund value of R50 000 qualify. In addition, wills must be kept in Momentum’s safe custody, with Momentum as the appointed executor and safe custody fees paid.
  • Members can only earn points once a year for the category in which they have cover.
  • The maximum number of points members will earn per category is determined by the oldest policy in that category. They will also get points when the oldest policy in that category reaches an anniversary during the year.
  • Points are allocated on the third weekend of the month, provided that we have confirmation of cover.

  • If members complete a fitness assessment or elite event, the Be healthier category is unlocked. This means they can earn the 240 points across all categories for Active Dayz™, fitness assessments or elite events.   • If members complete a Tiger Wheel & Tyre car safety check, the Be safer category is unlocked. This means they can earn the 240 points across all categories for travelling Safe Dayz™. They can still earn up to 80 points in each of the Be healthier and Be on top of your finances categories, subject to a total of 240 points across all categories.
  • If members complete a fitness assessment or elite event and a Tiger Wheel & Tyre car safety check, the Be healthier and Be safer categories are unlocked. 18.Have cover

  • Members must keep their Momentum policies active and points will be awarded automatically every year.
  • Only premium-paying policies or policies with a minimum fund value of R50 000 qualify. In addition, wills must be kept in Momentum’s safe custody, with Momentum as the appointed executor and safe custody fees paid.
  • Members can only earn points once a year for the category in which they have cover.
  • Points are allocated on the third weekend of the month, provided that we have confirmation of cover.

Unlocking

  • All unlock more activities still contribute to the 140 points available across all three categories, namely Be healthier, Be safer and Be on top of your finances. This means that each activity members complete will reduce the 140 points available.

20.Claiming points

  • If members earn points in one year and claim them in another, they have only three months to claim their points. For example, if they earn the points on 1 December, they must claim them by 1 March. If they do not claim the points within this period, Multiply will not award the points.
  • Please note that there may be a delay of between four to six weeks in the allocation of points. If the points do not show within this time period, please phone the Multiply Contact Centre.

4.Benefit rules:

  • Hotel accommodation booked through Multiply is for leisure purposes only.
  • Members may not use this benefit for more than 40 days per family member in one calendar year (January to December). This includes bookings at African Pride Hotels.
  • Room bookings must be for a minimum of three consecutive nights, or two consecutive nights, which include a Saturday night.
  • Discounts apply to the best room rate available at the time members make a booking. The rate will change depending on the season. Discounts do not apply to any specials or promotional rates.
  • The room rate does not include any extra expenses, like extra meals, phone calls, room service, drinks, laundry service, tourism levies, parking fees and other surcharges.
  • Bookings are non-refundable and Multiply will not accept any changes.

  • Children under the age of 12 years stay for free if they share a room with their parents. Please confirm at the time of reservation if the selected room is able to accommodate children. 
  • Protea Prokard members cannot earn or spend credits on bookings at the Multiply rate.

  • Refunds are allowed if the cancellation is done 72hrs before check-in, a death certificate or a Dr’s note confirming hospitalization is produced.

1.Safety Score, Multiply Points and Safety Bonus

  • Each answer provided by you on the questionnaire will be allocated a score and the points are added to determine your Safety Score.
  • Momentum requires certain answers provided by you in the Safety Score questionnaire to be validated. Once these answers are validated, the points for these questions will be allocated to your  Safety Score.  In order to validate your answers, you are required to submit certain documents.
  • If you are a Multiply client, you are eligible to earn Multiply points for completion of the Safety Score.
  • If you are a policyholder of a Momentum short term insurance personal lines policy, you are potentially entitled to receive a Safety Bonus, subject to the conditions stipulated herein.
  • The quantum of the Safety Bonus is dependent on your Safety Score, the number of SafeDayz achieved in a month and your Multiply status.
  • Momentum will accrue the applicable percentage of your paid premiums on a monthly basis towards your Safety Bonus.
  • If there are gaps in cover, the Safety Bonus amount will not accrue for those months.
  • Should any of your circumstances subsequently change which may impact the answers provided by you on the Safety Score questionnaire, you are required to update the Safety Score questionnaire.
  • Details of your Safety Bonus will be noted on your policy schedule.
  • In the event that you update your validation documents, your Safety Score will be updated within 5 (five) days.
  • You are required to update your latest validation documents to maintain your Safety Bonus levels.
  • In the event that you fail to update your validation documents, your Safety Bonus level will be reduced accordingly.
  • Momentum reserves the sole discretion to determine and change from time to time, all calculations,  criteria and business rules relating to Safety Score.


2.Safety Bonus Rules

  • The following conditions are applicable in respect of payment of the Safety Bonus:
  • Your policy must be active up until the day before your policy anniversary, in order for you to be entitled to payment of the Safety Bonus.
  • The Safety Bonus will be paid  to you within six weeks of the anniversary of your short term insurance personal lines policy.
  • If you cancel your policy prior to the day before your policy anniversary, you will not be entitled to payment of a pro-rata Safety Bonus.
  • If we cancel your policy in accordance with the cancellation provisions stipulated in the policy, you will not be entitled to payment of a pro rata Safety Bonus.
  • The Safety Bonus will be paid into the account of the person responsible for the payment of premium, unless you specifically request that it be paid into a different bank account.

  • In using Safety Score you accept that Momentum gives no warranty, expressed or implied, as to the reliability or correctness of any information, output, recommendations, guidelines, formulae or calculations provided through the use of Safety Score, and Momentum does not accept any liability for loss or damage of whatsoever nature, including direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive loss or damage, which may be attributable directly or indirectly to the use of or  reliance upon any such information or services provided through Safety Score. All calculations or other content is not intended to and does not constitute advice of any nature and you indemnify Momentum against any such loss arising from your reliance on any information, calculation or recommendation obtained by your use of Safety Score.

3.More about Multiply’s Save as you Gym™

  • Multiply introduced the Save as you Gym™ benefit in 2007 to positively incentivising members to be more active and exercise more regularly.
  • Over the past several years, members have experienced the positive effects of the Save as you Gym™ benefit and it has become one of the
  • cornerstones of the Multiply programme.


4.How to use this benefit:
Joining the gym:

  • When members join the gym for the first time, they must:
  • take their ID document and Multiply membership card to the gym of their choice,
  • complete their application process,
  • pay their card fee,
  • pay the compulsory one-off activation fee of R749 for the principal member and spouse/partner (per person), and
  • give their banking details for the collection of their monthly debit order


5.Earning the discounts:

  • Members qualify for the following monthly gym membership fee discounts on the Save as you Gym™ benefit:
  • A guaranteed Gym Visit Discount of 60% on their monthly gym membership fee for the first six months of their membership.
  • Gym Visit Discount of between 20% and 60%, based on average gym visits over a rolling three-month period to a maximum of R500 from

6.Rules for calculating the monthly fees:

  • Pro-rata billing in the first month of gym membership
  • Members can choose one of the following options when joining the gym:
  • join on the first of a month,
  • Planet Fitness members can future-date their gym membership activation date to the beginning of a new month (future-dated joining
  • can only be on the first of the following month),
  • activate their membership with immediate effect (on any day in a month). With this option (i.e. after the first day of the month),
  • Multiply will apply pro-rata billing to calculate the membership fee (before applying the Save as you Gym™ discount)

  • The benefit is based on the standard one-year Planet Fitness retail membership rate, which varies by club type, and does not apply to any membership specials that Planet Fitness runs.
  • A principal member and partner may be members of different health club groups (i.e. Virgin Active and Planet Fitness), but neither of them may belong to both health club groups simultaneously through Multiply.
  • If members use the Multiply Planet Fitness benefit, you cannot join Virgin Active at the discounted Multiply rates. However, if you join Virgin Active as a self-paid member, you will be able to earn Multiply points for training at Virgin Active clubs.
  • Members need to visit the gym at least twice a month (24 times a year) to enjoy the Save as you Gym™ benefit. Multiply will measure members’ visits over a rolling 12-month period. How do I qualify for the service commitment?

  • This is only applicable to Multiply Members.
  • You qualify for the service commitment pay-out (R50 cashbacks or R50 donation) if the following statements are true:
  • You are a member (main member/spouse/dependant) with an active Multiply membership (Premier, Provider or Starter).
  • You have an “active” Multiply Money facility (if you don’t have a Multiply Money facility, Multiply service agents will immediately open one for you).
  • Your call went to our automated voice response system and the call ended before a conversation had started (this is if you had selected any of the voice prompt options).
  • OR
  • You called us from a telephone number which is directly linked to you / is the same as the number registered on our system which makes it easy to contact you.
  • OR
  • You sent the email service request to the correct email address and we have not acknowledged receipt with 24 (twenty four) hours.


What must I do to submit a service commitment claim?
In order to claim, you have to qualify and do the following:

  1. Let us know by phone or email.
  2. Our agent will log the claim on your behalf.
  3. Choose whether you want the cashbacks or want to make a donation to MMI Foundation.
  4. You will receive confirmation of the outcome via email within 48 hours.


What will we do before we pay you?
Check and investigate the validity of the claim.


Further conditions:

  1. If you qualify and your claim is successful, you will be able to choose either to receive R50 cashbacks in your Multiply Money facility or to make a R50 donation to the MMI Foundation.
  2. If you choose to donate R50 to the MMI Foundation, then you give up your claim to the R50 cashbacks.

4.Benefit rules:

  • Multiply Premier members can purchase one discounted ticket per member on their Multiply contract per match.
  • Multiply Starter members can purchase two discounted tickets per contract per match.
  • Multiply Provider members can purchase four discounted tickets per contract per match.
  • Multiply Premier members will be entitled to one free grass/family area ticket for each of the ODD matches for each member on their Multiply contract. If the number of members is less than four, Multiply will allocate four free tickets.  For example: If a member has a partner and one dependent (total of three members), Multiply will allocate four free tickets. If members have a partner and three dependents (total of five members), Multiply will allocate five free tickets. 
  • Free grass tickets for the ODD games will be subject to availability and Multiply will issue tickets on a “first come, first served” basis. 
  • Discounted tickets are subject to availability.
  • Discounted and free tickets are only available through www.ticketpros.co.za. No discounted or free tickets can be bought at the stadia.
  • Once discounted tickets are sold out, you can buy additional tickets at the full price. 

 
5.How to use this benefit:

  • Members can only buy tickets online by logging onto the TicketPros website (www.ticketpros.co.za) and using their Multiply membership details.
  • Members can call us on 0861 88 66 00 if they experience any difficulties booking tickets.
  • Members must collect their tickets as set out in the TicketPros rules:
  • Collect the tickets from a selected retail outlet 
  • members will get a list of outlets near them and near the venue after payment is processed. 
  • Collect tickets at least one day before the event. 
  • Members can collect their tickets from Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings.

4.TIC offers/covers:
  • Leisure Comprehensive – has the highest limits, including pre-existing medical conditions.
  • Leisure Standard – excludes pre-existing medical conditions.
  • Senior – for travellers from ages 71-79 years.

 
5.Benefit rules:

  • If members have pre-existing medical conditions, they may be covered for any medical claims however this will determine the cover the member has chosen.
  • Medical cover for pre-existing conditions is only available on the Leisure Comprehensive plan.
  • Cover is limited for leisure purposes only.
  • Multiply may exclude claims when members participate in high-risk activities, manual labour or travel to a country where the FCO has advised against travel. Members must contact TIC for more details before they travel.
  • Extreme and/or professional sports are excluded unless a sporting extension is purchased.
  • Pre-existing medical conditions cover in-hospital expenses only.
  • Cardiac and cerebrovascular conditions are excluded for senior travellers.
  • Loss of luggage must be reported to the local police authority where the loss occurred.
  • Cover is limited to a maximum of 365 days on Leisure Comprehensive and Standard and 92 days on Seniors.

  • This policy has a 15 day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase provided the journey has not yet started, no visa has been obtained using this policy and no claims have been submitted; or

  • this policy may be cancelled if no visa is obtained, no claims have been submitted, but the policy is no longer required. 
  • The policy cannot be cancelled if a visa application was approved based on the TIC policy and the journey has not been cancelled.

3.How to get it
